  • Quilters Guild of the British Isles - The QGBI is a national membership organisation which was formed in 1979 and is made up of about 7,000 individual members, mostly from the UK, but also from Europe and other parts of the world. The Guild is an Educational Charity and the Education Committee provides educational resources and services for its members, lends support to teachers within The Guild and liaises with educational bodies beyond the quilting world. Membership is open to anyone who works in patchwork, quilting or appliqu� or has a special interest in quilts. A junior branch, the Young Quilters, caters for membership under 16 years.

  • Project Linus. Project Linus is an charitable organisation which aims to "provide love, a sense of security, warmth and a comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatised, or otherwise in need" by distributing new, handmade, blankets and quilts. The name comes from the Peanuts character Linus & his security blanket.

  • British Quilt List (BQL) - a place for UK quilters to discuss exhibitions, shops, online resources, quilting problems hints and ideas, gadgets, fabrics, the British quilting experience, British Quilt Heritage and history, research etc.

  • British Applique and Quilting List (BAQL) - The British Appliqu� and Quilting Group is a place to discuss the crafts of appliqu� and quilting, from the British and European perspective. We are a friendly group, who openly share tips, hints, product information etc. Our interests range from traditional to innovative and modern; from hand to machine work. Although we have a distinctly UK focus, we welcome members from other parts of the world.

  • British Quilt History List (BQHL) - is a free service, dedicated to the discussion and exploration of vintage textiles from a British and European perspective (although other view points are most welcome as they contribute to a lively discussion).
