She expressed a preference for the use of chintzy flowered fabrics, with a cream or plain calico background. There was a lot of trepidation throughout the group with this block, as it was the first, and many of us had never participated in a block swap before, so weren't quite sure what to expect. Mary's quilt is hand quilted and the blocks are pieced together by hand. |
